Defects discovered in the Droid Incredible’s kernel

IntoMobile is reporting that programing flaws have been discovered in the Droid Incredible’s kernel. It is not exactly clear what these flaws are, but the report suggests that they may not be limited to the Incredible, but other Android devices as well.

The findings also reveal that Android has less security flaws than other open source platforms, and that it is important to remember that it is more difficult to find bugs in platforms that are closed source.

It is also not clear whether or not these are Google’s security holes, HTC’s, or both. Im sure after more research is conducted, we’ll know a little bit more about what the security flaws pertain to, and who will ultimately end up fixing them.
